OUR BELIEFS
Who We Are
Our Vision: Trinity Chapel is a dynamic and loving family where Jesus is exalted, people find God’s plan for their life and are equipped to impact East Tennessee and the nations.
Why We Exist
Our Mission: Loving God, Loving People, Together Impacting Our World
Practically, this means that every ministry at Trinity Chapel aims their efforts in three directions:
- Toward knowing and loving God more
- Toward growing together by developing meaningful relationships
- Toward using whatever influence God gives us to impact our world
What Motivates Us
Here are the core values that guide how we do ministry at Trinity Chapel
- Loving God – A place where God is understood from His Word, experienced in His presence and loved through a lifestyle of obedience, integrity and faithfulness. Loving God includes exhibiting a character that bears the fruit of Christ: purity, sacrifice, forgiveness and seeking to please God.
- Loving People – A place where hurting people can find love, forgiveness and encouragement. A place of refuge where we learn, grow and experience God through meaningful relationships in small groups, ministry groups and corporate services.
- Outward Focus – Our ultimate goal is to glorify God and declare him to the world. For this reason, we mobilize our church to look beyond our walls to minister the gospel of Christ and make disciples in our community, our region, our nation and the world.
- Word of God - We believe in the authority and eternality of the Holy Bible and are committed to teaching and living it out through corporate services, Bible studies, small groups and seminars. We seek to develop a learning culture where disciples are ever growing in their understanding of the scriptures.
- Power of God – We believe that God is living and dynamic and that He longs to interact with His people. Trinity Chapel is a place where people are able to engage the presence and power of God both personally and corporately, including salvation, miracles and the baptism in and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- Centrality of Christ – While we value the dynamic work of the Holy Spirit, we believe that the Spirit will always exalt and reveal Christ. While we value the written Word of God we believe that it always reveals the living Word, Jesus Christ. We seek to keep Jesus at the center of all ministry and teaching of the church.
- Empowering People – We believe that every member is a minister, and that the church is to be a school (a place to be trained), not a theater (a place to watch others). Trinity Chapel is a place to develop people into mature followers of Jesus Christ, identify spiritual gifts and release them to minister in their God-given gifts.
- Healthy Families – Families are the core institution of God’s kingdom. At Trinity Chapel, we promote strong, healthy families by providing support and education and by fostering mentoring relationships.

Statement of Faith
We have been enlightened, enriched, and edified by many streams of Christian truth, and do not seek to distinguish or divide ourselves from the other members of the Body of Christ. We feel, however, that those considering to become a member of our church must know the fundamental truths in which we believe and seek to live by.
WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, the only true standard for the believer's life and practice.
WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension to the right hand of the Father.
WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God, that he was tempted by Satan and fell, and that all following Adam have sinned and are sinful; that repentance toward God, faith in Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are essential for salvation.
WE BELIEVE it is the will of God that all believers should be filled with the Holy Spirit, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service, and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world, and fully dedicated to the will of God. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion.
WE BELIEVE that the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit are given for the edification of God's people and to enable them to be effective witnesses in the world.
WE BELIEVE in the personal return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in the resurrection of all persons, in final judgement, and in eternal reward and punishment.
WE BELIEVE that all Christians are called to be witnesses to the grace of God, and to preach the gospel to every person in obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Trinity Chapel is a member of Master Builders
Master Builders is a fellowship of New Testament Churches seeking to build together on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. We seek to provide an atmosphere among the churches where by true apostolic teams can be formed to help in the building of God's house throughout the earth.
Master Builders began as a vision that God put in the heart of Pete Beck. For many years, Pete was the pastor of Maranatha Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, until God called him into a wider, apostolic role. Over the years, Pete has been graced by God to promote unity among brethren throughout the world and to gather brethren together to further the Kingdom of God. He initiated and has helped oversee for almost a decade a unique leader’s conference that meets annually in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 1996, God put it in his heart to see a new fellowship of ministers and churches begin. Soon afterwards he called together two other apostolic men that he knew over the years, Neil Silverberg and David Hundley and shared with them his vision to bring pastors and churches together. Along with Pete, these men were already individually relating to churches and out of those relationships Master Builders was born.
The emphasis from the inception of Master Builders has been on "relating together" and developing closer ties. To accomplish this there have been regional gatherings among the brethren to promote fellowship, ministry, leadership training, and the raising up of local five-fold ministry. There have also evolved annual national summer family conferences, allowing members of all the churches to come together and develop relationships with others in the fellowship. A quarterly in-depth newsletter and website keeps all members informed of up-coming events, mission and ministry opportunities, and other pertinent information .
