Church Fasting and Prayer

WEDNESDAY, we will be praying for Gospel impact upon our lives. Since "our Gospel will not go out of us in power unless it first comes into us in power" we will be praying for understanding of the Gospel so that it greatly impacts our lives. We will be asking for Spirit empowerment for all that we have set our hearts and minds to do as well as a greater hunger for God's Word in the Church. More than anything else, we recognize our need to understand the Gospel of the grace of God.

THURSDAY, we will be praying for a spirit of unity as we move forward to implement our vision. This night's prayer is best described from Paul's own desire for the Philippians that there be "one heart, one mind, striving together for the faith of the Gospel." We will also ask Father tonight to heal any relationships that need to be repaired so that we might "endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

FRIDAY, we will be praying for the power of God to become a missional community, reaching beyond our walls. We will ask God specifically that He would use our house churches to further God's kingdom in our area. We will ask for a "door for the word" to be open to Trinity throughout our region and that God would empower us to preach the Gospel "not with words of human wisdom, but demonstration of the Spirit and power." We want to be a growing church, not just by swapping members from other churches but by making disciples. We are called to be an equipping church and that means that each man and woman in Trinity must be about the Father's biusiness of making disciples.
