Life Group Connections
Life Groups at Trinity Chapel
What are Life Groups?
Life groups are small groups of people who meet regularly and are committed to becoming disciples of Jesus Christ. Life groups can center around home meetings, ministry teams or interest groups. All of these groups ultimately focus on three things:
- Loving God
- Loving people
- Using what we have to impact our world with the love of Jesus Christ
Why life groups?
While we appreciate the power and beauty of worshiping together as a large congregation on Sundays, we believe that real Christianity happens in relationships, not just in meetings. It is in this kind of community that the early church thrived (Acts 2:42). It was here that teaching, fellowship, prayer and taking meals together created an environment where the first Christians not only matured in their faith, but powerfully affected the world around them.
When and where do Life Groups meet?
Life Groups meet at various times on different days of the week. Some meet weekly others bi-weekly and still others meet monthly. Life Groups meet in homes, at work places or in the community, and some even meet at the church building.
Benefits of Life Groups:
- In the context of this smaller “spiritual family” you will be able to deepen relationships in a warm and safe environment
- You will be accepted for who you are and yet challenged to reach your full potential in God.
- You will also be able to grow in areas of service and in your spiritual gifts.
The Life Group is the primary relational arena for permanent connection at Trinity. Teaching classes, Bible studies, special interest groups, ministry teams, home group meetings are all part of this organic thing called Life Groups.
